About Me:
I’ve been working as a Learning and Development professional since 1996. During that time, I’ve had the opportunity to work in multiple areas from training to instructional design to curriculum and program development and management.
My personal learning journey began in Manhattan during the dot com boom of the late 90’s working for technical training vendors. It was an exciting time as individuals and businesses were beginning to discover the potential and possibilities of the internet.
From there I moved into the Finance/Mortgage/Insurance sectors first as a Lead Technical Trainer then expanding into Mortgage Operations, Business Skill, Leadership and Sales training. Over the years I’ve been involved in the design and delivery of training associated with the newest technology solutions. I’ve also had the opportunity to travel throughout the US, delivering operations and sales training to some of the most well-known mortgage lenders in the industry.
When I’m not in-front of the classroom or behind the computer, you’re most likely to finding me visiting one of the many Virginia vineyards, researching my next potential vacation destination, getting lost down the YouTube rabbit hole, trying to improve my cooking skills or sitting in my favorite chair with my dog on my lap reading. It could be the latest best seller, new memoir, sci-fi adventure, political commentary, who can say? All that matters is…” Still, I am learning”!
As a new freelancer I am open to part-time or full time, short- or long-term projects where I can utilize my knowledge and expertise to create learning solutions targeted toward you or your clients most urgent challenges.
Major Projects
- Curriculum Manager – facilitated and managed the curriculum for a six-week Jr. Underwriter Program
- Virtual Engagement – designed, developed and facilitated a six month training program focused on teaching sales associates how to engage with customers virtually
- Train-the-Trainer – designed and delivered a weeklong training program focused on teaching Subject Matter Experts to act as trainers
- Leadership Development – designed an 18 month leadership program targeted toward high potential IT associates
- Risk Management – designed and developed a case study based workshop for IT application owners focused on identifying and mitigating technical risk
- Microsoft Dynamics – designed and delivered online and classroom training for 50 sales associates.
- Microsoft SharePoint – designed and delivered end user training for 300 associates on basic functions, designed and delivered training for 150 developers, project managers, program managers and administrative staff on collaboration using SharePoint.
- Siebel Systems – designed and delivered classroom training for 55 sales associates on Siebel CRM.
- Proprietary Loan Processing System – designed and delivered classroom training for 200 underwriters and managers.
- Proprietary Loan Imaging System – designed and delivered online training for 200 underwriters and managers.
- Proprietary Policy Servicing System – designed and delivered classroom and lab based training program for 40 servicing associates.
- Multiple Proprietary Systems – designed a three week training program for associates employed at an outsourced processing center in India.
